Its hoppers can be swapped to let you try various blends in the moment and its different profiles mean you can continue where you left beginning. Plus, it's less expensive than capsule machines and makes use of real coffee beans instead of ground coffee beans that are pre-ground.
1. Smeg BCC02
This sleek, compact, and striking machine, designed by the Milan-based firm Deep Design combines the brand's retro aesthetic with the latest technology. It takes care of every step of the coffee-making process - from grinding beans and shaping the beans into a puck to mixing milk and dispense the right amount - so you can make barista-quality hot beverages at the touch of a button.
The machine also has an elegant brushed aluminium front and is available in a variety of black, red or taupe, meaning it's easy to integrate into most kitchen designs. It's not free of flaws however. Most reviewers found that it was expensive for a cup to bean maker (and it doesn't come with a pitcher of milk).
There were also many glowing reviews about this machine's user-friendliness and the quality of the coffee. The digital display gives feedback and step-by-step directions throughout the entire brewing process that will help you make your drink perfect each time. The machine can even instruct you to adjust the grind size, should you decide that's not what prefer. It's almost like having a personal barista in your own home (minus Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and Elon Musk's rocket-building skills).
If you prefer drinks with milk, this model features an adjustable steam wand that can be adjusted up and down to accommodate all drinking vessels, but not the Viking's drinking horn. We were also amazed by the speed and efficiency in the way that the frothing was performed. It makes an amazing, full-flavoured espresso with a great crema.
The BCC02 is an excellent all-rounder that's quiet, effective and provides great value for money at the current price of PS499. The only issue is the fact that it doesn't offer the same level of customisation as other bean-to-cups we've tested. It comes with a 15 bar pump rather than the more common 19 bar, which isn't as good to make high-quality espressos. Other than that, this is a fantastic machine to make coffee for those who like their coffee strong and black. Click here to see Lavazza's amazing deal.
2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart has a number of features that set it apart from the competition. Its most unique feature may be that it can now be controlled via your smartphone using the Melitta Connect App. This lets you change settings and dispense different coffee recipes that are stored in the machine itself.
This makes the machine adaptable and flexible to your taste. There are a variety of options for changing the intensity of your drinks and also different sizes of cups and whether or not to add milk. The machine is equipped with two airtight bottles of beans that are automatically chosen to match different types of drinks. The machine defaults to using standard espresso beans and cafe creme, which is a German variation of long black or flat white. But, you can choose any beans you like. There is also a chute for pre-ground beans if you prefer to make your own.
Users have also been amazed by the speed of the machine. It is faster than any other machine they have ever used. The machine will also warn you if any of its hoppers is almost empty. This way, you won't run out of your favorite beverage.
The only thing that could be a problem for some people is the price tag. This machine is not cheap, costing nearly PS999. However, it is far cheaper than comparable Jura machines with similar features.
The Barista TS Smart is backed up by an extensive warranty that provides two years of coverage. This is a longer warranty than the standard one-year guarantee. It's a mark of confidence from the manufacturer. It also comes with a cleaning tablet and a descaler, making it easy to keep on top of your machine's maintenance needs. This is an excellent machine for those who are looking for a high-quality and flexible bean to cup machine that's affordable.

Additionally, there is a spout to pour hot water which can be used to make tea or iced coffee.
The Giga 6 also has a great feature: you can duplicate and customize your favourite coffees. This is especially beneficial if you like to have the same coffee in the morning and evening. To make a cup of coffee, simply insert a capsule into the machine and press one of two buttons to start the making process. The Espresso button will deliver an espresso shot while the Lungo button will run a greater amount of water to make a lungo-style coffee. Another advantage of the Inissia is its ease of cleaning. Every day, run a cycle using water, without a capsule through the machine to eliminate any residue. It is recommended to descale the machine once every three months to eliminate any calcium or lime deposits. Click here to view our video tutorial on how to descale the machine.
